Welcome to our “Procreate Digital Art” course, designed specifically for teenagers aged 10-18! In this course, students will learn how to use Procreate, a powerful digital art app on iPad, to explore the endless possibilities of digital illustration. Procreate offers a wide range of brushes and tools, simulating traditional art media while giving students the flexibility to create and experiment in the digital realm. 

What you will learn:

 

  1. Procreate Basics: Learn how to navigate Procreate’s interface, work with layers, select brushes, and use essential tools to build fundamental digital drawing skills.

  2. Color and Layer Management: Master the use of Procreate’s color palettes, gradient tools, and layer blending modes to control the colors and effects in your artwork with precision.

  3. Brushes and Texture Effects: Dive into Procreate’s wide range of customizable brushes and learn how to adjust brush settings to create unique textures and visual effects in your artwork.

  4. Creative Illustration and Concept Design: Through hands-on projects, learn how to use Procreate for creative illustration and concept design, fostering creativity and design thinking.

  5. Digital Workflow: Understand how to organize your digital painting process from sketching and coloring to final adjustments and exporting your artwork, mastering the full digital painting workflow.

     

Materials Required:
 

  1. iPad (with Apple Pencil recommended)

  2. Procreate app (must be downloaded and installed prior to the course)

  3. Charging equipment (ensure your device has sufficient battery during class)

  4. Reference images or materials (for creative inspiration)
