Welcome to our "Master Landscape Study" course, designed specifically for adults. In this class, participants will delve into landscape painting techniques and compositional principles by studying and replicating works by renowned masters. We have curated a selection of iconic landscape paintings to help students analyze key elements such as color usage, lighting and shadow effects, and the rendering of depth and layers. Copying masterworks not only enhances painting skills but also fosters a deeper understanding and mastery of the creative methods and artistic expression involved in landscape painting.

What You Will Learn:

Color and Light/Shadow Application: Learn how masters handle light and color in landscapes, utilizing tonal variations to convey different weather conditions, times of day, and atmospheres.

Composition and Layout: Gain a deep understanding of landscape composition techniques; master the arrangement of foreground, middle-ground, and background elements to create depth and a sense of space.

Brushwork and Techniques: Observe and replicate the unique brushwork and techniques used by masters; learn to use brushes to render the diverse textures of natural landscapes, such as skies, mountains, water, and trees.

Container for water and paper towels (for cleaning brushes)
